Which lane am I on?
Same codebase either way. The Additional Use Grant covers personal, educational, open-source, and pre-revenue indie use. Companies, client work, and paid employment need a commercial license. Read the full rules on the license page.
Which major version am I licensed for?
Solo and Studio cover commercial use of the major line current at purchase (today: 5.x), including minors and patches on that line. The next major (for example 6.x) needs a new commercial grant or a published upgrade — not silent lifetime rights to every future major. Details on the license page.
Slate and blocks
Electrik Slate
and electrik/slate-blocks are separate MIT packages. This page prices Electrik (the SaaS kit), not the UI kit.
How this compares
Spark charges per project for billing alone. SaaSykit and Larafast typically charge about $199–$299 once for the whole kit, with no free commercial lane. Jetstream is MIT but has no billing. Electrik undercuts that band at Solo $99 / Studio $149 (unlimited projects), and keeps indies at $0 under the grant — with Spark-class billing and team scope in the base package.
Full feature matrices and “choose them if…” guidance: Electrik vs alternatives — Jetstream, Spark, Wave, SaaSykit, Larafast, and Filament alternatives compared side by side.
Stripe subscription pricing for your product is separate. Electrik helps you bill your customers; the license above is for using Electrik itself.
What happens after you buy?
Checkout is handled by Dodo Payments. You land on a thanks page, then we email your commercial license details to the address used at checkout. Nothing in the package unlocks later — you already have full source. The license is permission for commercial use. Next step is the same as the grant lane: install Electrik.
